RUBBERBANDance Group (RBDG) redraws the boundaries of contemporary dance, creating a unique blend of 1990s Westcoast hip hop and classical ballet that is sometimes humorous, sometimes serious.

Vic’s Mixis a remix of the work ofRBDG founder and choreographer, Victor Quijada set to music including excerpts from Stravinsky’s Firebird, and other classical composers, Prokofiev, Verdi, Bach, Vivaldi, and original musicwritten for the company by Jasper Gahunia. The piece challenges notions of theatricality.

Vic’s Mix is a production of RUBBERBANDance Group with the support of the Festival International DansEncore, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Conseil des arts de Montréal, and the Ontario Arts Council.

Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet™ is a playful, colourful and evocative production that transports audiences to early 20th century Atlantic Canada.

Based on the beloved Canadian novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet™ follows the adventures of red haired Anne Shirley, a highly imaginative, eager to please, and at time dramatic orphan girl sent to live on a farm in the fictional town of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island.

Set to a full-sized symphonic ballet score arranged from Anne of Green Gables – The Musical@, (composed by Norman Campbell, orchestration by Alexander Levkovich), with original choreography by Bengt Jörgen, this performance will charm the imaginations of all ages.
