Venue Access

The ACT Arts Centre has three entrances.

-         Haney Place Loop – Main entrance

-         Edge Street

-         Through the underground parkade

Keep an eye on the hanging signs to find the building entrance.

The ACT is wheelchair accessible from all three entrances.

The ACT is 3 minute walk from the Haney Place Bus loop.

There are bike racks outside The ACT Arts center in case you choose to cycle.

When you arrive

The building doors open 2 hour prior to the show and the ACT staff and volunteers will be present to welcome you. A ticket to the performance (print or e-ticket) is required for venue access. If you have misplaced your ticket, please contact the ticket centre ahead of the show to have it reissued.


PARKING

For those driving, the underground parkade offers the easiest access to the ACT Arts Centre. There is no parking allowed in front of the building. Public pay parking is located on-site at 11944 Haney Place, with access to The ACT Arts Centre. Follow the ACT signage, in the green section, to the elevator or stairs leading directly into the facility. Prepare ahead of time to Park & Go with the "hang Tag" app. Click HERE to download. There are numerous pay parking meters in the underground parkade, located at the Edge Street entrance (access to The ACT), Leisure Centre and Civic Centre entrances. Note: the Leisure Centre parking meter accepts cash. 


Accessibility

The Main Stage Theatre has 8 reserved accessible seats for patrons in wheelchairs and for those who cannot use stairs. Balcony seats are not wheelchair friendly. The Studio Theatre has no stairs and contains flexible seating. A limited number of booster seats for children (offered on a first come first served basis) are available that can be used in either theatre. Patrons are also welcomed to bring their own small booster seats.

Hearing Assist

We offer infra-red hearing reinforcement systems for patrons with hearing impairments. Headsets can be returned at the bar after the event.
