  • This is a unique course designed for a parent and school aged child to take together. Participants will be guided through handbuilding techniques to create a coil pot, textured vase, tea lights and sculptural pieces including faces, dragons and monsters. This course is for one parent and one child.

  • Try your hand at throwing on a wheel and experiment and have fun with clay! Learn how to wedge clay, center it, and shape a clay cylinder. Students will be encouraged to focus on shape and technique development and only glaze fire their best work. *Please do not enter the 3D Studio while camps are running, thank you!

The deadline to take home all work from Summer 2024 is Friday, August 30th.

Please note the following:

  • Students must be present to pick out their work with a parent or guardian.

  • Children’s work is stored on the labelled shelves and numbered by class.

  • Unglazed (bisqueware) can be taken home and painted with acrylic paint at home.

PURCHASING pottery supplies

  • Purchase clay/tool kit online before the first day of class (10kg). ONLY STUDENTS REGISTERED IN AN ADULT POTTERY CLASS CAN PURCHASE EQUIPMENT.

  • Show the instructor payment confirmation at the start of class to receive the purchased clay or tool kit

  • Clay or tool kits can only be picked up during class so please plan ahead if you think you need some for Open Studio
