Art Gallery School Tours

Our hands on, curriculum focused artist-led tours are suitable for all primary and secondary grade levels (K – 12). Students will receive a guided introduction to a current exhibition and be led through a practical art activity.

Tour Dates: Select Tuesdays and Wednesdays (see below for more details)

Tour Times: 10:30 am – 11:30 am; 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm

Tour Fees: $7 per student. Minimum charges apply. Max 30 students per class.

FORGET-ME-NOT, MÉTIS ROSE: THE FAR WEST

Explore Métis art, history and culture through the collaborative paintings and beadwork of BC artists Kristi Bridgeman and Lisa Shepherd. Sessions will be led by Lisa Shepherd.

SHADES OF BLUE: FEDERATION OF CANADIAN ARTISTS (FRASER VALLEY CHAPTER)

Dive into a world of color in this ‘blue’ themed exhibition which will allow students to explore a range of curriculum related content.

FROM BARN TO TABLE

Be inspired by local painter Kristin Krimmel’s recent barn series, which is accompanied by a collection of rustic and contemporary ceramic tableware by ceramic artists Sarah Pike and Fredi Rahn.

BUMPS ON THE PRINTMAKING ROAD

Explore the world of printmaking through a showcase of work by the internationally acclaimed master printer Peter Braune of Granville Island’s New Leaf Creative Solutions.
