PRINT MAKING WITH NATURE

Saturday, October 14, 2023 | 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM | The ACT Arts Centre

Lessons from a Living World brings together five artists whose art practices centre on their relationships, responsibilities, and hope for the Earth. Artists Cherry Archer, Clyde Richard Brittain, q̓ʷɑt̓ic̓ɑ / Phyllis Atkins, Shawna Davis, and Zuzana Vasko have differing connections with the environment, yet all share a deep awareness of the living world around them. The artworks in this exhibition muse on visual details of nature and entangled connections between living beings.

Inspired by our latest Gallery Exhibition we will create art with an intriguing printmaking technique which utilizes silicone printing plates. Layers of paint and plants will be applied to a jellified surface to create mesmerizing images. This printmaking technique is fast, easy, and best of all, fun! Everyone is welcome.

This is a FREE, family friendly event!
