Award-winning singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith kicks off the season with a retrospective concert that highlights his contribution to the Canadian songbook over the past three decades. Often described as “your favourite songwriter’s favourite songwriter”, the 3-time JUNO-Award winner draws from his vast catalogue of music and performs a blend of Classic Pop, Contemporary Folk, and Roots-Rock music that has garnered the admiration of musical legends such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Ray Davies, John Prine, Gordon Lightfoot and Leonard Cohen, for his characteristically honest, sensitive, and enduring approach to the songwriting craft. Sexsmith’s gentle stage presence embraces the generous spirit of his songs and promises a warm, comforting night of Canadian music.
