Closed on Weekends

The deadline to take home all work from Spring 2025 is Friday, July 11.

Please note the following:

  • Students must be present to pick out their work with a parent or guardian.

  • Children’s work is stored on the labelled shelves and numbered by class.

  • Some items may be on the adult cart or table in the glazing area near the entrance, please check here if there were any items not found on the class shelves.

  • Unglazed (bisqueware) can be taken home and painted with acrylic paint at home.

FAMILY

  • This family-oriented ceramics course is designed for parents and children to have fun creating together! Participants will be guided through hand-building techniques to create coil pots, pinch pots and slab-built pieces such as tea lights, cups, bowls, textured vases and creative sculptures. You will learn to apply beautiful glazes that will bring your creations to life! The course fee applies to one parent/adult and one child. If you would like to register a second child, an additional fee of $115 will apply.

  • Join us in the pottery room on Friday nights this Spring to work on self-directed projects with technical support from a professional ceramic artist. Whether you choose to work on the wheel, at the tables or in combination, your ideas will be fostered and supported by our team and your peers. Must be able to throw a 4-inch cylinder on the wheel independently. To get the most out of this program, please plan on attending all classes. Excellent tunes provided to pump up the clay jam.

Purchasing Pottery Supplies

  • Purchase clay online before the first day of class (10kg). ONLY STUDENTS REGISTERED IN AN ADULT POTTERY CLASS CAN PURCHASE EQUIPMENT.

  • Clay is to be picked up at the front desk

  • Clay can only be picked up during class so please plan ahead if you think you need some for Open Studio
