What Your Gift Supports

As the leading arts service provider in the region, for over 22 years at The ACT, the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council has provided accessible, high-quality and varied programming in the theatres and gallery

  • arts learning education programs for all ages  

  • scholarships supporting the aspirations of young people

  • support for arts projects and other organizations in our community 

  • bursaries for families in need, and

  • free arts events in our community,

  • enriching thousands of lives and connecting our community through the arts.

Making an annual gift can be done any time throughout the year. Benefits remain in good standing for twelve months.

Giving is Easy

  • Make your gift by cheque, credit card, or cash, over the phone, in person, online through our secure donation site, or through the mail. Cheques may be made out to Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council. 

  • Easy monthly installments can be charged to your credit card (you may discontinue at any time).

Legacy Giving

Including The Arts Council in your estate planning will help expand and enhance programs into the future.

There can be significant tax advantages in making a planned gift.

What to give

A Planned Gift is any major gift ($10,000 or more) made in your lifetime or as part of your overall financial planning and/or estate planning.

Here are some examples of Planned Gifts:

  • bequests

  • cash

  • publicly traded securities, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs

  • real estate

  • life insurance

  • RRSPs, RIFs

How to give

Planned Gifts benefit the long-term future of The Arts Council, and major gifts can be designated by you or the Board of Directors to the Arts Council’s Long-Term Reserve Fund, held and managed by the Aqueduct Foundation.

We suggest you work with your lawyer, financial planner, or accountant as you make your decision, to ensure that your gift is in accord with your charitable goals, and clearly expresses your wishes.

How you are recognized

You don’t have to advise us that you have left a gift to The Arts Council in your estate plans, but we would be honoured to recognize you by name in our Publications or if you prefer, you can remain anonymous.

By letting us know your plans, we can celebrate with you – and share our love of the arts together.
